Identity, magazine layout, creative direction, and website art direction for a new quarterly magazine. As a journal of ‘writing and clear thinking about things that matter,’ it’s easier to explain through the essay topics in the first issue: forecasting monkeypox, preventing the next pandemic, the scientific replication crisis, China and the semiconductor industry, the history of nuclear proliferation, South Korea as a model for growth, truth in wine tasting, and thoughts on future meat.

Inspiration for the identity and layout came from enlightenment era books, science fiction illustrations, William Hogarth, and nuclear defense publications from the 1980s.
