Creative direction, publication design, and website design for the announcement of a new font designed by Matthew Carter for Japanese type foundry, Morisawa. The font, Role, is Morisawa’s first commissioned Latin typeface. The full family of fonts consists of four main styles—Serif, Sans, Slab, Soft—each with three optical weights and eight thickness weights. 

Project included commissioning writers and a photographer, design of a series of five type specimen books, design of sample collateral using the fonts, styling and production of photo shoots, and design of a website to showcase the font.
